I have always been imaginative but my mind expanded when we had a Lodge in the Zambezi Valley many years ago, and budget for décor was non existent. I learned that the bush had a lot to offer and started to seek out the many treasures in my surroundings! The seeds and pods intrigued me, and I had a great deal of fun making decorative mirrors and creations for the chalets.

6 years ago, I had felt I need to step away from my computer as I had the urge to create again! Lauren and Carla stepped in with Ad-dicts and I indulged in my passion. I’m not sure what made me start looking at combining scrap metal and nature, but I have had lots of fun mixing the two. Rummaging around scrap yards is my passion! My daughter even gave me the name “The Bag Lady!”

The most exciting creation for me are my BB Walls made up of 9 BB blocks. Each block has a story and a funky name and the piece is quite impactful piece! Other creations are mobiles, lamps, coffee tables, fire pits, lanterns, wall hangings and personalised wooden signs. I am ready to move on with new designs…get the brain ticking!

I am honoured to be invited to join wonderful artist Alison Street in a joint Exhibition in May.

EBONY, IVORY & SHADES OF RUST will be at The Space at Agora Village, Tabo Mbeki Road, Lusaka from the opening on Tuesday 26th May through to Monday 1st June 2026

Come and see us!
